    Lohtaja Church.
This is the church in Lohtaja, built in 1768. This is the church that Esther Kero Simila went to, while she lived with her grandparents, Matti Kero and Elisabet Niemi. She lived on the Kero Farm until 1899, when she came to America.

My 3rd cousin Mika sent me the location of the Kero Farm, and this "photo" shows them both, as shown on google maps. The water out in the distance is the Gulf of Bothnia, separating Finland from Sweden.

The colors are active links that will bring up a current google map of the area.
    Kiitos Mika!
